  6. Travel Arrangements

There are no direct flights to Eswatini. The most common route is to fly to O.R Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg, South Africa – and then either use road transport into Eswatini or take a connecting flight to Manzini, Eswatini (SHO).

Flights to Johannesburg, South Africa: Delegates are to make their own travel arrangements. This includes flights from respective countries to Johannesburg and road transport from Johannesburg to Eswatini.

Please verify immigration requirements into South Africa.

By Road from Johannesburg: Delegates travelling by road from Johannesburg may choose to hire a vehicle or catch an airport shuttle from O.R. Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, rather than fly to Eswatini. The distance to Oshoek/Ngwenya Border post is about 350kms (± 4hrs).

Below are recommended car hire and shuttle services, for consideration:

    Car Hire:

    AVIS – https://www.avis.co.za/

    Europcar – https://www.europcar.co.za

    Shuttle Services:

    http://www.goswaziland.co.sz/

The shuttle service makes drop-offs only at central areas and would require additional short distance cab hire to your designated hotel, all within a maximum radius of 20kms.

There are other shuttle services available as indicated under the ‘information’ tab on the website.

Flights to Eswatini (KMIII Airport) – Flights from OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg to Eswatini take 45minutes. A complementary shuttle service will be provided for delegates landing in Eswatini. Kindly indicate on the registration form if you plan to fly into Eswatini.
