The Eswatini sugar industry comprises of 3 mills with 449 growers of which 413 are smallholder growers, farmers associations and individuals, who contribute over 20% of industry sugarcane production). The sugarcane growing and milling is located in the lowveld of Eswatini. All sugarcane grown in Eswatini is irrigated, achieving annual average yields of about 105 tons of cane per hectare and 12,5 tons of sucrose per hectare.
The Eswatini Sugar industry season runs from April to December.
